I first used the Hamburger Budget stretch (Recipe #136773) recipe, then I made this. It was good, it was cold by the time I ate it, but I just popped it in the microwave for a few seconds. I have a ton of leftovers. I think it would be good with carrots and peas as well. I ate it with beer biscuits and that really added a great touch!

I took the advice of one of the reviews below and added some herbs and garlic and we thought this was really tasty. A simple recipe we will definately make again.

This is a very basic, simple recipe. No excuses for your kids not being able to make you dinner anymore! We found it highly filling and certainly serves its stated purpose. For a more advanced version, I would highly recommend adding garlic, herbs and spices, fresh parsley, etc.

This was great. I did use 1 cup of egg noodles and I then stirred in a cup of cooked rice. Very quick and easy. Thanks for posting.
